From my early days navigating the transit system in New Jersey to my current regular commutes on RTD, I’ve always been passionate about the impact that public transportation can have on our community.

With over a decade of experience at RTD as Executive Manager of the Board of Directors’ Office and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, I’ve developed a deep understanding of RTD’s inner workings, from security concerns and budget challenges to equity and service delivery.

Now, as a candidate for the RTD Board of Directors, I bring a unique blend of operational expertise, leadership skills, and unwavering support for public transportation. My fresh perspective and commitment to transparency and accountability are what RTD needs right now. I promise to listen to your issues and ideas, and work tirelessly to address them.

Safety and Security

Safety is a top priority for me. Recent studies show that 75% of riders consider safety and security when deciding whether to use public transportation. When people feel safe, they’re more likely to ride RTD, but when they feel vulnerable, they’re more likely to drive. By prioritizing safety and security, we can increase ridership, reduce traffic congestion, and benefit our environment. As your RTD Director, I will prioritize safety and security so all riders feel comfortable using our system.

Transit Equity

I believe that everyone deserves access to reliable and affordable public transportation, regardless of their zip code or socioeconomic status. Transit equity is a core value of mine, and I will work to ensure that our system is equitable and just by identifying innovative solutions and new funding sources. As your RTD Director, I will fight for access and fairness for all riders.

Transparency and Accountability

Engaging with the community is essential to ensuring RTD meets the needs of all users. I will engage with communities across District D, gather input on priorities, and ensure that our decisions reflect the values and interests of the people I serve. I will also support initiatives to increase transparency and accountability in RTD’s decision-making process. As your RTD Director, I will foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.

State of Good Repair

Maintaining a state of good repair is crucial for our transportation infrastructure. This includes ensuring that RTD buses, trains, and maintenance facilities are well-maintained and reliable. Sustained funding is necessary to plan for the future and maintain our investment. As your RTD Director, I will work to advocate for the resources RTD needs to maintain our transportation infrastructure.
